Lasagna is a classic Italian dish that takes some time to make. You can’t rush it, but if you plan well, it will be worth the wait! However, because a lasagna dinner can be a bit time-intensive, it’s important to have some easy sides in your arsenal to serve with it.

Lasagne is one of my favorite things to make for dinner because it is so delicious and that can feed a crowd. But what about the sides? There are so many options out there but I wanted to share some of my favorites. You can never go wrong serving a side dish alongside any hearty Italian cuisine!

Lasagna is good on its own. I mean, it’s one of my personal favorite recipes. But you’ll need to serve it with something to make it complete! We serve lasagna with a variety of dishes – from soups and salads to breads and veggies – you really can’t go wrong.

Soups
Minestrone Soup
This Italian vegetable soup is hearty and delicious. It’s low in calories and filled with veggies. The fiber will fill you up and keep your stomach satisfied for hours! It’s a great side dish for lasagna because it has veggies and less fat than some soups might have.
Italian Wedding Soup
This soup is full of Italian style vegetables like spinach, carrots and beans. It also has mint leaves giving it a unique flavor.
Chicken Noodle Soup

You can never go wrong with a large green salad! This dish is fresh and delicious. Cherry tomatoes, cucumber, cheese,black olives, and your favorite salad dressings – along with some croutons – make this a favorite salad of all ages!
