Recently I’ve been making A LOT of Instant Pot side dishes…I just can’t stop.
I have been trying to make Instant Pot versions of all of our favorite side dishes, just because I love using my Instant Pot (I recently bought a second one!), and I find myself often needing more oven or stove space than what is available when cooking…and the Instant Pot is the perfect solution.
This time of year, we have several holiday celebrations that typically are known for having great side dishes, so we thought that we’d share some of the best Instant Pot side dish recipes out there.

What Instant Pot is Best?
There are so many Instant Pot models out there – it can be a little overwhelming.
The first Instant Pot I got was the DUO 60 6 quart, and it’s worked wonderfully for me over the years. I think that both the 6 and 8 quart are excellent options for beginners and advanced users.
I recently got the Ultra 8 quart, and I’ve been really liking it. It’s got a few more bells and whistles, but when it comes down to it – they both cook about the same!
For side dishes, you may even want to consider the Instant Pot Mini. It’s a smaller Instant Pot that is perfect for smaller portions.
