How to make Cheesecake Factory Avocado Egg Rolls

The Cheesecake Factory is one of the most popular restaurants when you want some delicious food, but want to feel a little fancier.

So why not bring one of their most popular sides into your own home?

While they may not be a complete copy of The Cheesecake Factory’s, they will be delicious if you grab fresh ingredients.

What sauce should you dip these in?

At Cheesecake Factory, the avocado egg rolls are served with a Tamarind dipping sauce – and it is to DIE for. Check out our Tamarind Cashew Sauce here.

How do you know if an avocado is ripe?

Unlike other fruits and vegetables, you cannot go on color alone to know if they are ripe. However, often times ripe avocados are noticeably darker, but their color can vary.

The sure way to know that an avocado is ripe is by touch. If you give it a light touch or squeeze, it will feel soft, but not mushy. If it’s mushy, the avocado has become overripe and should not be used for this recipe.

Another thing to note – when you find ripe avocados, they should be used as soon as possible so they don’t go bad.

What are egg roll wrappers made of?

The dough is often made of egg and flower. The dough is rolled into thin squares that make it easy to fill and to roll.

Size can vary, though. Some like their rolls smaller, but many restaurants in the U.S. will make them slightly larger.

How do you wrap an egg roll?

The dough you buy should be rolled into thin squares. If not, roll out and cut your dough.

You’ll start by laying out one of the squares in a diamond shape. Put about a tablespoon of your avocado filling near the corner, as seen above. You’ll then take the bottom corner and wrap the filling in a cylinder shape.

Before continuing, you’ll brush some egg wash on the top triangle of the wrapper. (Egg wash is usually 1 egg to 2 Tbsp milk, mixed)

Continue rolling tightly enough that the egg wash will seal the wrapper shut, but not too tightly, causing the wrapper to rip.

Are avocados good for you?

Avocados have lots of health benefits. They are a great source of vitamins C, E, K, and B-6. But they also provide riboflavin, magnesium, potassium, and more.

Most of the calories in avocados do come from fat, but don’t let that stop you from using them in lots of tasty dishes.

How long will egg rolls last?

If refrigerated in airtight containers, egg rolls can last up to 3 to 4 days in the refrigerator.

My advice would be to warm them in the oven on lower heat for about 10 minutes. Warm until they have reached your desired temperature.
