Texas Roadhouse Style Rolls Recipe
Do you ever find yourself wanting to go to Texas Roadhouse, just for the rolls? Well, now you can make them at home with this delicious copycat recipe that tastes just like the kind at the restaurant!
I don’t know about you, but the main reason I go to Texas Roadhouse is for their delicious rolls and amazing cinnamon butter. Since that can be an expensive habit, I decided to make my own version – and let me tell you, it is DELICIOUS.
How to make Texas Roadhouse rolls
If you are a fan of Texas Roadhouse rolls but not a fan of the dent it makes in your wallet when you go there, this recipe is so easy and delicious to make. I promise you’ll be bookmarking this one for posterity’s sake!
Are Texas Roadhouse rolls dairy free?
Normally, no. However, this recipe can be easily altered to accommodate a dairy free option! Swap the ingredients with alternatives like Earth Balance buttery spread and almond milk. This recipe has those alternatives listed for you to make it dairy free. Those who are lactose intolerant should still enjoy these savory rolls!
Can you buy Texas Roadhouse rolls?
You can do a to go order, but unfortunately, Texas Roadhouse rolls aren’t for sale outside of the restaurant. That’s why I love this recipe! If you want to save the time and money of going to Texas Roadhouse (especially if you go JUST for the rolls), this recipe is worth learning!
Can Texas Roadhouse rolls be frozen?
If you’re wanting to make the dough beforehand, go ahead and wrap them in plastic wrap and store in the freezer the night before. You can bake them the next day. Or, if you bake them but don’t eat them in one day (impossible!), wrap them in foil. Store in the freezer. I don’t recommend leaving them in there for any more than 3-4 weeks. The fresher, the better with these rolls.
Tools I Used
My Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer (a Bosch works great, too. The dough gets pretty thick, and a Bosch tends to handle that better in my experience!)
Whisk Attachment for my Kitchen Aid
Bread Baking Mat – I LOVE mine. It’s big and make it so easy to roll out and cut the dough.
I used this bench scrape to cut the dough
Joseph Joseph Rolling Pin – it’s the best!

I thought I was the only one who goes to Texasroad for the rolls lol.
Also, I don’t have a stand mixer BUT I do have a bread maker. Could that work to mix and knead the dough instead?
Haha you aren’t alone! And I’m not 100% sure, but I think that would work!
The recipe just says “3 salted butter”, what is the unit measurement?
I apologize, this has been fixed – should be 3 tablespoons
2 eggs?
