Easy Garlic Bread Recipe
Garlic bread is a delicous and easy side dish that can help complete any meal! This is a simple, easy to follow recipe that you will keep going back to time and time again.
In our household, no meal is complete without some kind of delicious bread side dish.
Often that means garlic bread. While it’s easy to just to grab a bag of the garlic bread that is premade from the store…it’s really not that much harder to make your own garlic bread at home.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf french bread
- 3/4 stick butter, softened
- 3 cloves of garlic or 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/8 cup finely shredded parmesan cheese
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Prepare a baking sheet with tin foil or a silicone baking mat.
Slice loaf in half.
Combine butter with garlic, oregano, and parmesan cheese.
Spread evenly on each side of the loaf of bread.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until browned and delicious.
We add a little bit of grated parmesan cheese to our garlic bread spread. It’s just enough for flavor, but you can certainly add more (mozzarella or provolone would be a great choice) if you want.

It can be, but it usually best fresh out of the oven

This particular recipe just has a little bit of parmesan cheese. However, you can add whatever kind you want to make it cheesier. We would recommend slices of mozzarella or provolone.
How long will garlic bread last?
This garlic bread is meant to be eaten the same day
Can I freeze garlic bread?
You can. We would recommend freezing with the spread on top and wrapping tightly in aluminum foil. Defrost before cooking.
