Recipe Tips and Comments

  • Prep all your ingredients before you start making the recipe.
  • Defrost your spinach in the refrigerator the night before you want to make it
  • We like Stonefire premade naan for the fried bread. It doesn’t need to be cooked before you fry it, and it tastes delicious!
  • We originally thought there was cream cheese, but we realized the consistency was closer to sour cream and mayonnaise. You can certainly use cream cheese instead of mayonnaise – it will just be a bit thicker.
  • This is inherently not a low-fat recipe, but you can use low-fat sour cream and mayonnaise to reduce some of the fat.
  • We found that the Italian cheese mix was the easiest way to include multiple kinds of cheese in the recipe at an affordable price. You can usually find this blend at most grocery stores. Most blends have mozzarella, provolone, parmesan, fontina, romano and asiago.
