Ingredients

  • 1 package Hawaiian Rolls
  • 1 cup Italian cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Italian Seasoning

Directions:

  1. Preheat over to 375 degrees
  2. Make a criss-cross shape in the top of each roll, cutting about 3/4 of the way through the roll
  3. Melt butter and mix with garlic powder and Italian seasoning
  4. Stuff each roll with cheese
  5. Cover with butter mixture using a pastry brush
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, or until bread is crispy and cheese is melted

Recipe Suggestions

  • I recommend using the savory Hawaiian rolls. We have done this with the sweet, but some people didn’t love the sweet combined with the garlic and butter. The savory seemed to taste the best.
  • You can buy Italian blend shredded cheese at most grocery stores. However, if you can’t find it, it’s great to mix together shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  • Feel free to add more cheese if you want it to be cheesier.
  • I wouldn’t recommend preparing this beforehand. It’s best when prepared and served fresh.
  • You can keep leftovers in an airtight container and reheat as needed.
