What are the best fries to use for Texas Cheese Fries?

We would suggest using frozen steak fries for this recipe. You can find them in the frozen section of any grocery store. They are the best for cheese fries because they are thicker and larger than normal shoe string french fries making it easier to load them with yummy ingredients.

You could also make your own steak fries with potatoes if you would prefer. Just be sure to bake them and make sure they are fully cooked or fried before assembling your Texas Cheese Fries for this recipe.

What kind of cheese does Chili’s use?

Chili’s uses cheddar cheese on their fries. However, I like to use a Colby jack mix when I make it at home.

What can you dip Texas Cheese Fries in?

Texas Cheese fries taste delicious dipped in Ranch Dressing. You can use your favorite bottled ranch dressing or make your own using a ranch dressing mix.

You can also dip them in barbecue sauce, honey mustard sauce or just about any dip that you think would taste good!

How do you reheat loaded steak fries?

Reheating loaded cheese fries can be a daunting task, but with the right technique, it can be a breeze!

One of the best ways is to wrap them in foil and then put them in an oven preheated to 365 degrees. Let the fries cook for 10-15 minutes until they are heated through and crispy.

If you don’t have an oven available, you can reheat it on the stovetop with a nonstick pan and some cooking oil.

Heat up the pan then add some of the fries in one single layer. Allow them to cook until they are hot and crisp before stirring and driving to warm evenly across.

Finally, give your fries a proper flavor boost by topping them off with more melted cheese!
