What brand of cheese do you use?
We buy whatever is on sale – which is usually either Kraft brand or the Walmart brand.
Can you freeze spinach dip?
Yes, you can freeze this dip. Prepare as recommended and place in a freezer safe dish and cover it well. You may want to wait to add the cheese topping until you bake it. It should stay good for about three months in the freezer.
Can this spinach dip be served cold?
If it’s been previously cooked and you want to eat it straight from the fridge, I don’t think that would be a problem. I wouldn’t combine the ingredients and not cook it first, though.
Do you have to bake this dip?
Since a lot of this recipe is made on the stove top, you don’t necessarily need to bake it in the oven. You could put it into a dish and put the cheese on top immediately, which would melt some of it. We prefer to bake it, as it gives a better caramelization to the cheese, but if you prefer it the other way, that works, too! You may try the other of making this spinach dip by trying our Longhorn spinach dip recipe.
Can spinach dip be left out overnight?
I would not leave this out overnight or even for more than an hour or so. It does contain dairy, which can become unsafe easily.
