Every year since I was a child, my mom has put on a fun Halloween dinner for our family. She has continued this tradition all this time, and it’s something my children love just as much as I do!
If you are looking for a really fun Halloween appetizer or side dish to add to your Halloween dinner, look no further than these spooky breadsticks. They are SO much fun to make, and they are easy enough that the kids can help as well. It only takes a little bit of work to make such a tasty recipe.
Is this a recipe only for kids?
No, it’s also fun to make for adults! Everyone can enjoy this fun recipe.
Where can I buy crescent roll dough?
All grocery stores should have it in the refrigerated section!
How many breadsticks come in the package of crescent roll dough?
There are four rectangles and each rectangle is cut into four slices so there will be 16 breadsticks total.
What do I serve with these?
These are a great side dish for many meals – spaghetti, alfredo sauce, or your favorite fall chili! They are a great addition to your spooky Halloween dinner – make sure you make a nameplate for them that says witches’ finger breadsticks so everyone knows their fun name!
How long will they last if I store in an airtight container?
These will last for about a week if stored in an airtight container.
What are some variations for this recipe?
You could sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top for some added flavor! Sesame seeds would also be fun to the top. You could put a piece of string cheese in the center of the breadstick to make them cheesy breadsticks.
Are these breadsticks soft?
They are a little stiffer than some breadsticks. I don’t know that I would call them crunchy breadsticks, but I wouldn’t call them fluffy either!
Easy Halloween Breadsticks Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 package crescent roll dough

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Marinara sauce for dipping

Can I use pizza dough instead of crescent rolls?
You might be able to if you want to cut it into triangles. However, the baking time would likely be different and may not have the same results.
Can I use pepperoni sticks instead of slices?
I don’t think this would work really well with this recipe!
Can you buy halloween-themed crescent rolls at grocery stores like Walmart or Target?
Yes! They should be packaged in multiples of four since each rectangle is cut into four slices.
Can I use any dip to go with these breadsticks?
Any marinara sauce, pizza sauce or tomato sauce would go great with this recipe. I also think that alfredo sauce or a pesto dip would be really delicious as well!
