Can you prepare this recipe ahead of time?

Absolutely! If you are hosting a big party and planning lots of food, you can make it the day before the party so you can focus on the main dishes on the big day. Be sure to eat it within 24 hours though for the best quality and taste.

Can I make any changes to the recipe?

Yes you can! However, if you want to stay with the patriotic red, white and blue theme, stick to JELL-O flavors that are red and blue (the white is made from unflavored gelatin and sweetened condensed milk).

Red flavors of JELL-O include cherry, raspberry, strawberry, watermelon, and fruit punch. there aren’t too many blue JELL-O flavors, but you can look around at your options in the grocery store. I like to use the berry blue flavor.

Feel free to change up the fruits in the recipe as well.
