How to easily make Orange Cranberry Jello Salad
Jello salad is a staple for many meals. Jello salad is great for Easter. It works for summertime meals. It’s even perfect for Thanksgiving dinner.
I love this recipe because it has so many fruit flavors. It’s peppered with cranberry sauce, mandarin oranges, and pineapple chunks. If you’re wanting a tropical tasting dish, this recipe is the way to go.
The best part is how easy it is to make. Simply boil the pudding and Jello, then add the rest of the ingredients. Once it has set for a few hours, you can dig in. Or you can make this the night before if you’re planning to be busy with a big dinner!
Is Jello Salad a dessert?
If you want it to be! Jello Salad is sweet, which qualifies it as a dessert. This dessert is a medley of mandarin oranges, pineapple bits, and cranberry sauce. The fruit concoction makes it a great side dish or a sweet dessert. I prefer to eat Jello salad as a side dish with the main entrée. I believe the sweetness is a great addition, but it’s not too intense. Most desserts are more decadent.
Can you freeze cranberry Jello salad?
I wouldn’t recommend. Jello salad has a tendency to change texture after being frozen and stored. To enjoy it best, don’t stick this in your freezer.

This looks super runny. Is it suppose to look like that?
However it looks in the pictures is how it’s supposed to look 🙂
Are you suppose to use instant pudding or cook and serve? I am assuming cook and serve pudding since it needs to be brought to a boil.
YOu will need to use instant pudding.
